Keep special needs employed!
Our special needs staff is the heart and soul of our organization. We provide hourly rates for our employees and appreciate your contribution towards their hard work.

Electricity, water, and gas bills... Oh my!
Like any other organization, we have to comply with federal and state laws– and that includes keeping up on our bills, too. Helping pay for them would mean more money going towards impacting people’s lives.

Equipment and Machinery
Keep our ovens and freezers running!
Ovens, freezers, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines… Running a bakery requires a lot of equipment, and sometimes that equipment can break down.

Bigger and better, moving onto new things
Expansion is exciting, but expensive! Being able to remodel and upgrade our working space will help us handle more equipment, more staff, and ultimately get us making more delicious cakes.

There are many ways and many areas that you can help us make a difference in the lives that we serve and the lives of special needs adults through your contributions.
Here at Special Kneads and Treats, Inc., one of our core tenets is to provide special needs adults with an opportunity to receive gainful employment in a safe and rewarding environment. We strive to provide a place where these outstanding individuals can learn a skill and develop a sense of accountability and pride. Our hope is that we can demonstrate for for-profit businesses the wealth of untapped resources and abilities that can be achieved through hiring from this special group of individuals, while at the same time utilizing these wonderful skills and talents to help us in serving those less fortunate.
All of us, nonprofits and for-profit organizations included, have to pay monthly expenditures in order to be able to do the things that we do. Current minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, and with your donations you can ensure that we can continue to provide gainful employment to someone with a developmental disability.
